The FA insists that there was no disagreement between them and Fabio Capello over the selection of John Terry.

The FA has backed England manager Fabio Capello's decision to pick John Terry in the national squad for the upcoming friendlies against Spain and Sweden.

Ongoing racism allegations against the Chelsea defender had brought his possible selection into question, but the Italian announced Terry in his 25-man squad on Sunday.

The decision has been supported by the FA and Club England manager director Adrian Bevington, who denies that there was any disagreement between them and Capello.

"There was a lot of conjecture about this subject last week and some stories and certain media outlets suggested that there might have been some disagreement between Fabio and the FA," Bevington told Sky Sports News.

"I can confirm that there was nothing of that sort."

"There are allegations in place and nothing has been proved against anybody. So Fabio picked John Terry and we support that decision."

England face Spain at Wembley on Saturday before hosting Sweden the following Tuesday.
