Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah is included in Egypt's 29-man preliminary squad for the 2018 World Cup in Russia.

Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah has been named in Egypt's 29-man preliminary World Cup squad.

The 25-year-old has impressed in his first season at Anfield, scoring 44 goals in all competitions and being named Premier League Player of the Year.

However, Salah will miss Egypt's friendly against Kuwait on May 26 due to his expected participation in the Champions League final against Real Madrid in Kiev.

Pharaohs manager Hector Cuper has included numerous England-based players including Arsenal's Mohamed Elneny, West Bromwich Albion duo Ahmed Hegazi and Ali Gabr, Stoke City's Ramadan Sobhi, Ahmed Elmohamady of Aston Villa and Wigan Athletic's Sam Morsy.
