Ramires: 'Door is open for me to return to Chelsea'

Former Chelsea midfielder Ramires, who now plays for Chinese outfit Jiangsu Suning, claims that the door will "always be open" for him to return to Stamford Bridge.

Jiangsu Suning midfielder Ramires has revealed that he wants to rejoin Chelsea before bringing an end to his playing career.

The Brazilian spent five-and-a-half years at Stamford Bridge before joining the Chinese Super League revolution for a fee of £25m in January 2016, having made 246 appearances for the club and helped them to every major honour in that time.

Now 30 years old, Ramires is still plying his trade in China, but he admitted that he wants to return to West London at some stage in the future and believes that the doors "will always be open" for him to do so.

"Chelsea? I'll always have special affection for them and I want to play for them again before finishing my career," Ramires told UOL Esporte.

"I know the doors of Stamford Bridge will always be open to me and that wearing their jersey again would be spectacular."

Ramires was also linked with a move to Inter Milan during the January transfer window.
