Newcastle are reportedly made aware of Real Madrid's willingness to offload Belgian winger Eden Hazard in January, alongside the 30-year-old's former club Chelsea.

Newcastle United have reportedly been informed that they could capture Real Madrid winger Eden Hazard in the January transfer window.

Following the takeover of the club by the Saudi Public Investment Fund at the beginning of October, the Magpies have been linked with a series of potential blockbuster signings, with the wealthy new ownership reportedly keen to bolster the squad.

According to ESPN, they have now turned their attention to Hazard, who has been offered out by Real Madrid ahead of the upcoming transfer window.

They will face competition for his signature though, with Chelsea also informed of the availability of the Belgian, who they sold to Los Blancos for upwards of £100m in 2019.

Since arriving in the Spanish capital, the 30-year-old has made just 52 club appearances, netting five goals and providing nine assists in a spell regularly halted by injury issues, after contributing 110 goals and 92 assists in 352 games for the London outfit.

Carlo Ancelotti and club president Florentino Perez are now said to be willing to offload the Belgian international for a cut-price fee after the turn of the year, with the Magpies targeted due to their new wealth.
