AC Milan will reportedly have to pay £26m in full to Chelsea if they wish to sign Fikayo Tomori on a permanent deal.

AC Milan have reportedly been told by Chelsea that they will have to pay £26m if they wish to sign defender Fikayo Tomori this summer.

Tomori has impressed since sealing a loan move to the Serie A giants in January, making 11 appearances for the Rossoneri in all competitions.

Goal reports that a £26m option to buy the 23-year-old was agreed between both Chelsea and Milan, but the Italians would have to pay the full fee if they wish to sign him on a permanent deal.

Milan sporting director and club legend Paolo Maldini recently confirmed that the club will attempt to make the Englishman's loan transfer a permanent move this summer.

Tomori made only four appearances under former Chelsea boss Frank Lampard, after falling down the pecking order following the arrival of Brazilian centre-back Thiago Silva.

Thomas Tuchel has since replaced Lampard, but Tomori had already started to become an important player for Milan and is now thought to be considering staying in Italy beyond this season.
