Chelsea considering approach for Wolfsburg defender Ricardo Rodriguez?

Chelsea are reportedly considering a move for Wolfsburg defender Ricardo Rodriguez as they look to strengthen their backline before the end of the transfer window.

Chelsea have reportedly identified Wolfsburg defender Ricardo Rodriguez as a potential transfer target.

New Blues head coach Antonio Conte has made just two signings since his arrival at Stamford Bridge, while his backline has been reduced by the loan exit of Baba Rahman and Kurt Zouma's lengthy recovery from a knee injury.

The Italian has previously suggested that he is keen to press on with adding to his first-team squad, and according to The Mirror, a move for Rodriguez is being considered.

Chelsea's only recognised left-back is the versatile Cesar Azpilicueta and the West Londoners are expected to bring another player in to challenge for the Spaniard's place in the team.

It has been claimed that Chelsea would be willing to meet the Swiss international's price tag of £22m.
