Liverpool's Arne Slot to replace Darwin Nunez with PL striker?
Liverpool have reportedly identified a Premier League striker as a potential replacement for Darwin Nunez this summer.
Nunez joined the Reds for a club-record £85m in the summer of 2022 and has since recorded 33 goals and 17 assists in 96 appearances across all tournaments.
The 24-year-old featured regularly in Jurgen Klopp's final season at Anfield and he contributed with 18 goals and 13 assists in 54 matches, helping Liverpool win the EFL Cup and secure a third-placed finish in the Premier League.
However, Nunez - who failed to score in his last 10 appearances of the 2023-24 campaign - has been criticised having been guilty of wastefulness in front of goal which subsequently led to the striker losing his regular starting spot in the final few weeks of the season.
Ian Maatsen hints at U-turn over Chelsea future
Chelsea defender Ian Maatsen has hinted at the prospect of performing a U-turn over his future at Stamford Bridge.
The 22-year-old joined Chelsea's academy in 2018 and made his senior debut just a year later, but he has since struggled to establish himself as a first-team regular at the club.
Maatsen has played just 16 times in all competitions for the West Londoners, including just one Premier League start during the first half of the 2023-24 campaign.
A lack of game time under former boss Mauricio Pochettino was a key factor behind his loan move to Borussia Dortmund, where he has blossomed into a key player under Edin Terzic.
Man Utd 'hopeful of cut-price £40m deal for first Ratcliffe signing'
Manchester United are reportedly eyeing up a cut-price deal for Everton defender Jarrad Branthwaite this summer.
New minority shareholder Sir Jim Ratcliffe, who has full control of football operations at Old Trafford, is set to oversee a squad overhaul ahead of the 2024-25 campaign, regardless as to whether manager Erik ten Hag stays or leaves the club.
The addition of at least one new central defender is believed to be a priority for Man United now that Raphael Varane has confirmed that he is leaving the club upon the expiration of his contract in June.
Jonny Evans is also out of contract next month, while there is still uncertainty over the long-term futures of Harry Maguire and Victor Lindelof.
Man United, Man City 'join Liverpool, Barcelona in race for £51m attacker'
Manchester United and Manchester City have reportedly joined the race to sign RB Leipzig attacker Dani Olmo in the summer transfer window.
The 26-year-old attacking midfielder scored nine goals and provided five assists for the Bundesliga outfit this season and has also been on the radar of Barcelona and Liverpool.
Olmo initially came through Barcelona's renowned La Masia academy before establishing himself with Dinamo Zagreb.
The Spaniard continued to impress during his time at Stadion Maksimir in the 1. HNL, and secured a four-year deal to Leipzig.
