Reina: 'Suarez is better than Torres'

Pepe Reina thinks that Liverpool have replaced former favourite Fernando Torres with Luis Suarez.

Liverpool goalkeeper Pepe Reina believes that striker Luis Suarez has replaced former Anfield favourite Fernando Torres.

The Spanish frontman ended his time at the Reds with a £50m switch to rivals Chelsea in January.

While the 27-year-old has insisted that Liverpool fans are unaware of the full story behind his departure, Reina thinks that the Reds following have a new hero.

"Fernando is top class; Luis is as good or even better than Fernando," said Reina, speaking at the launch of his book Pepe: My Autobiography.

"Those players are really special. You don't find those kind of players very often.

"The club did a good job in signing Luis and hopefully he will be many years with us and hopefully he will score as many goals as Fernando."

The two strikers could come face-to-face at Stamford Bridge this Sunday.
