Julian Nagelsmann is reportedly keen to manage in the Premier League amid interest from Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur.

The 35-year-old is currently out of work after being relieved of his duties at German giants Bayern Munich at the end of last month.

Thomas Tuchel has since been appointed as his successor and the former Chelsea boss has experienced a mixed start to life in Bavaria, winning his first Bundesliga game 4-2 against title rivals Borussia Dortmund last weekend before suffering a 2-1 home defeat to Freiburg in the DFB-Pokal quarter-finals on Tuesday night.

Nagelsmann led Bayern to the Bundesliga title last season – the club's 10th in succession – while he also won two German Super Cups during his 20-month spell at the helm.

Since his departure from the Allianz Arena, Nagelsmann has been strongly linked with a move to the Premier League, with managerless London duo Spurs and Chelsea said to be interested in his services.

Spurs have placed Cristian Stellini in temporary change until the end of the season after Antonio Conte left the club by mutual consent during the international break.

Chelsea, meanwhile, sacked Graham Potter on Sunday after less than seven months in charge, and Bruno Saltor is currently taking the reins on an interim basis until a successor is appointed.

Although Nagelsmann would allegedly prefer to make a final decision on his future in the summer, a recent report claims that Chelsea have already made contact with the German over their managerial vacancy.

Meanwhile, Sky Sports News reports that Nagelsmann's agency, Sports360, are prepared to listen to proposals from interested clubs and have already engaged in discussions with representatives of both Chelsea and Tottenham.

The report adds that Nagelsmann sees the Premier League as his next destination in his coaching career, and the prospect of the German reaching an agreement with either Chelsea or Spurs in the 'coming weeks' cannot be ruled out.

Chelsea are said to be ahead of Tottenham in the race for Nagelsmann at present, as the North Londoners are still sorting out issues relating to the departure of director of football Fabio Paratici.

Nagelsmann is not the only name to have been linked with both Chelsea and Spurs, as Mauricio Pochettino – another manager currently out of work – has also been tipped to return to the Premier League.

Pochettino, who spent just over five years as Tottenham boss between 2014 and 2019, was sacked by Paris Saint-Germain in July last year and is believed to be open to a return to manage in the English top flight.

While Spurs are seemingly more likely to appoint a successor to Conte in the summer, Chelsea are allegedly keen to hire a new manager before their Champions League quarter-final first-leg tie against Real Madrid on April 12.

The likes of Luis Enrique, Ruben Amorim, Luciano Spalletti and Oliver Glasner have also been linked with the Chelsea job, while Brighton & Hove Albion's Roberto De Zerbi is understood to have no interest in the vacancy at Stamford Bridge.
