Chelsea head coach Antonio Conte hints that Charly Musonda will get his chance in the first team, providing that the Belgian focuses his attention "on the pitch".

Chelsea head coach Antonio Conte has said that the Blues are committed to trying to introduce members of the academy squad to the first team.

Top prospect Charly Musonda recently took to social media to suggest that he was frustrated with his lack of opportunities at Stamford Bridge, a move which has led to the 20-year-old being reprimanded.

However, Conte has hinted that Musonda remains in the club's long-term plans, providing that the attacker focuses his attention "on the pitch".

The 48-year-old told reporters: "We are trying to do this last season (play young players). A lot of young players played different games.

"This season we started to give the opportunity in the Carabao Cup. This season could be a good opportunity for the young players to play with Chelsea.

"Charly Musonda is a player who has an opportunity to play. We have three number 10s. Usually two play. He is a talented player and I am sure about his career if his attention is on the pitch, not social media."

Chelsea are reportedly looking for Musonda to spend time out on loan in order to gain first-team experience.
