Ronaldo: 'Brazil's World Cup exit not yet forgotten'

Legendary former Brazil striker Ronaldo claims that the nation are not over their 7-1 defeat to Germany in the World Cup semi-final, despite their impressive current form.

Brazil legend Ronaldo has claimed that the nightmare of La Selecao's World Cup exit has not been forgotten – despite a six-game winning streak since the tournament ended.

Dunga replaced Luiz Felipe Scolari after the Brazilian competition, and the former captain has since led the five-time world champions to six straight wins - the latest coming via a 2-1 victory over Austria on Tuesday.

However, Ronaldo, who won the World Cup twice with Brazil, has stated that the nation have not fully forgotten about their humiliating 7-1 defeat by Germany back in July.

He told Reuters: "It is too early to see any change in the national team. It was very difficult to forget the World Cup and the defeat to Germany.

"I know that Dunga has a very difficult job to do to bring confidence back to some players and their work."

Dunga captained the side to the 1994 World Cup.
