Getafe get themselves off the bottom of the La Liga table with a 3-2 win against Atletico Madrid.

Getafe have lifted themselves off the bottom of the La Liga table with a 3-2 win against Atletico Madrid at the Coliseum Alfonso Perez.

Atletico took the lead on 30 minutes when Radamel Falcao scored from the spot after Alberto Lopo had brought down Diego in the area. The Getafe defender was sent off for the challenge.

The hosts drew themselves level 10 minutes later when Abdelaziz Barrada curled in a free kick from the edge of the box.

Getafe took the lead three minutes after the break through Michel's flicked header from Barrada's set play.

With 10 minutes to play Álvaro Domínguez's 25-yard effort took a deflection to fly past Miguel Ángel Moyá in the home goal.

However, the home side earned the win two minutes later when Diego Castro scored a penalty after he was felled by Arda Turan.
