Aston Villa are reportedly considering a move for Leicester City forward Leonardo Ulloa during the January transfer window.

Leicester City forward Leonardo Ulloa has reportedly emerged as a transfer target for Aston Villa.

Manager Steve Bruce is in the market for a new striker, with Jonathan Kodjia facing an extended period on the sidelines and Villa only scoring 29 goals from 22 games in the Championship.

The West Midlands outfit have been linked with a move for Burnley frontman Nakhi Wells but according to The Express, Bruce is considering making an offer for Ulloa.

The 31-year-old still has 18 months remaining on his contract at the King Power Stadium, but boss Claude Puel could consider a sale with the attacker behind Jamie Vardy and Kelechi Iheanacho in the pecking order.

However, Ulloa has featured off the bench in Leicester's last three matches in the Premier League, and the Argentine could be used when the Foxes host Manchester City in the EFL Cup quarter-finals on Tuesday night.

Pule faces the choice of parting ways with Ulloa, or allowing fellow out-of-favour striker Islam Slimani to leave the East Midlands outfit.
