Tomas Rosicky rejoins Sparta Prague following Arsenal exit

Former Arsenal midfielder Tomas Rosicky rejoins boyhood club Sparta Prague on a two-year deal, 15 years after first leaving the Czech outfit.

Former Arsenal midfielder Tomas Rosicky has rejoined his boyhood club Sparta Prague.

The 35-year-old saw an injury-plagued 10-year spell with the Gunners come to an end last season, parting company with the club at the end of his contract.

Despite making just one appearance throughout the 2015-16 campaign, Rosicky was included in the Czech Republic squad for Euro 2016, and he will now return to his home country to play his club football.

Sparta announced that the veteran playmaker has signed a two-year deal with the club 15 years after initially leaving to join Borussia Dortmund.

Rosicky joined Sparta as an eight-year-old in 1988 and went on to make 61 appearances for the first team during his first stint with the club.

Rosicky could make a swift return to English football, with Sparta set to take on Southampton in the Europa League next month.
