Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta reportedly wants to bring five more players to the club as deals for Albert Sambi Lokonga and Ben White progress.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta reportedly wants to bring another five new faces to the club before the summer transfer window closes.

Portuguese left-back Nuno Tavares represents Arsenal's only signing of the window so far, but the Gunners boss has affirmed that "some new faces" will be arriving at the club before their pre-season trip to the USA commences.

The arrival of Belgian midfielder Albert Sambi Lokonga is expected to be announced within the next few days, while a £50m deal for Brighton & Hove Albion defender Ben White has reportedly been agreed.

According to The Athletic, Arteta is keen to strike deals for another five players as part of his squad overhaul, with a new goalkeeper, right-back and creative midfielder at the top of the agenda.

Aaron Ramsdale has been mentioned as a possible name in between the sticks, while the likes of Max Aarons, Thilo Kehrer and Mert Muldur have been tipped to replace Hector Bellerin should he complete a move to Inter Milan.

A permanent deal for Martin Odegaard is not thought to be beyond the realm of possibility, but Houssem Aouar and James Maddison have been touted as possible creative alternatives.
