Brentford reportedly identify three strikers who could replace Ivan Toney, with the Brentford forward attracting interest from Arsenal and Chelsea.

Brentford have reportedly identified three potential options to replace Ivan Toney.

The 27-year-old recently returned to first-team training after serving the first half of an eight-month suspension for breaching the Football Association's betting regulations.

While Toney will be able to return to competitive action in January, there is some doubt as to whether he will play for Brentford again.

The striker is said to be attracting interest from the likes of Arsenal and Chelsea, raising the possibility of a January departure.

Brentford boss Thomas Frank recently admitted that Brentford could be persuaded to sell Toney at the "right price".

Toney has been key a figure in the Brentford side over the last few seasons, scoring 68 goals in 124 competitive games since arriving from Peterborough United in 2020.

With the striker's future shrouded in uncertainty, the Bees have begun scouring the market for potential replacements.

According to 90min, Brentford have drawn up a three-man shortlist, consisting of Wolfsburg's Jonas Wind, AZ Alkmaar's Vangelis Pavlidis and Santos's Marcos Leonardo.

Wind has made an impressive start to the 2023-24 season, scoring five of Wolfsburg's seven league goals this season.

The 24-year-old, who is under contract until June 2026, has also registered seven goals in 21 international appearances for Denmark.

Like Wind, Pavilidis has also begun the new campaign in red-hot form, having scored seven times in AZ Alkmaar's opening five league games.

In total, the Greece international has racked up 54 goals in 101 competitive games since arriving from Willem II in the summer of 2021.

Marcos Leonardo, meanwhile, has enjoyed a successful campaign with Brazilian side Santos, having found the net 17 times in 36 matches across all competitions.

The 20-year-old, who has risen through the club's academy ranks, has over three years left to run on his current contract.
