Bayern Munich defender Jerome Boateng is supposedly open to a move to the Premier League amid reported interest from Tottenham Hotspur.

Jerome Boateng is reportedly open to a move to the Premier League amid interest from Tottenham Hotspur.

The defender is confirmed to be leaving Bayern Munich when his existing deal expires at the end of the season, and he is not expected to be short of suitors despite turning 33 later this year.

Barcelona have supposedly ruled themselves out of the running to sign the former Manchester City man, but Spurs have been tipped to bring him back to the Premier League for the 2021-22 campaign.

Now, Sport Bild journalist Christian Falk claims that Boateng is flattered by Spurs' interest, and he can envisage a move to England as he weighs up his next career move.

However, Falk adds that no talks or negotiations have been held yet, and Spurs' London rivals Chelsea and Arsenal could go head-to-head with the Lilywhites for Boateng's signature.

As well as Boateng, Bayern will be waving goodbye to David Alaba when his deal expires in June, but they have secured the signature of Dayot Upamecano from RB Leipzig.

Boateng has remained a key player for Hansi Flick this term with 33 appearances in all competitions, including 24 Bundesliga starts.
