Arsenal to move for Croatia international Domagoj Vida?

Arsenal boss Unai Emery will reportedly launch a bid for Besiktas defender Domagoj Vida if he can make a high-profile sale before the end of the transfer window.

Arsenal are reportedly considering a late summer approach for Besiktas defender Domagoj Vida.

New Gunners boss Unai Emery has already moved to strengthen his backline since arriving at the Emirates Stadium, but it appears that the Spaniard is yet to be convinced by his current lineup.

According to The Sun, Emery has taken an interest in versatile defender Vida, who has just represented Croatia at the World Cup.

However, Arsenal must sell before they can sign any new players during the closing days of the summer window, and Emery may look to part ways with either Shkodran Mustafi or Danny Welbeck.

Vida only linked up with Besiktas in January, but the Turkish giants are allegedly prepared to cash in on the 29-year-old should they receive a sizeable offer during August.

Liverpool have previously been linked with the player, while there have been suggestions that Wolverhampton Wanderers could be prepared to meet Besiktas's asking price.
