Arsenal are reportedly one of five clubs who are considering a bid for Paris Saint-Germain defender Thiago Silva, who will be available on a free transfer later in 2020.

Five Premier League clubs, including Arsenal, are reportedly contemplating an approach for Paris Saint-Germain defender Thiago Silva.

After an eight-year spell at Parc des Princes, Silva is available on a free transfer after not renewing his contract with the Ligue 1 champions.

Despite being three months short of his 36th birthday, 90 min claims that a number of English teams are interested in the Brazilian.

Arsenal are said to be among that list of clubs as Mikel Arteta looks at ways to improve the defensive options in his squad.

Having previously worked under Carlo Ancelotti, Everton is regarded as another realistic destination for the veteran centre-back.

Wolverhampton Wanderers, Newcastle United and West Ham United are also said to be monitoring the situation.
