Arsenal's all-time leading goalscorer Thierry Henry doubts that his former side will qualify for Europe after a disappointing showing against Crystal Palace.

Former Arsenal striker Thierry Henry has poured doubt over the Gunners' hopes of returning to European football for the 2022-23 season.

Mikel Arteta's side have gone unbeaten in five Premier League games but had to rely on an Alexandre Lacazette goal right at the death to salvage a point against Crystal Palace on Monday night.

Arsenal's dire showing at the Emirates once again led to questions being asked about the management, and the club's record goalscorer Henry recently admitted concern over the direction that Arteta was taking the Gunners in.

When asked if Arsenal had any hope of a top-seven finish by CBS Sports after the draw with Palace, Henry responded: "Not with what I saw recently."

Arsenal have taken 11 points from their opening eight games of the Premier League season to sit 12th in the table - one point and one place above upcoming opponents Aston Villa ahead of Friday's encounter.

Current Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang also spoke out after the draw with Palace, claiming that his side "stopped playing" when 1-0 up against the Eagles.
