Five Premier League players on UEFA Team of the Year shortlist

The Premier League has five players on the UEFA Team of the Year shortlist, while Barcelona have eight nominees.

Five Premier League players have been named among a 40-man shortlist for the UEFA Team of the Year.

Manchester City trio Joe Hart, Kevin De Bruyne and Sergio Aguero have been joined by Chelsea's Eden Hazard and Arsenal's Alexis Sanchez.

The team should reflect performances by players in Europe during the course of 2015, and fans are able to vote on UEFA's website until January 5, 2016.
