Liverpool could be without both Thiago Alcantara and Alisson Becker for their Premier League clash with Arsenal after the duo picked up injuries in training.

Liverpool could be without both Thiago Alcantara and Alisson Becker for this evening's Premier League showdown with Arsenal at Anfield.

The duo were absent from training on Saturday after picking up knocks earlier in the week and will now face a race against time to prove their fitness ahead of the 8pm kickoff.

Both players will be put through late fitness tests, with Alisson considered the slightly bigger doubt having also missed training on Friday.

Thiago had been expected to make his full debut for Liverpool following a record-breaking 45-minute cameo against Chelsea last weekend.

Jurgen Klopp will also be without captain Jordan Henderson, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Joel Matip for the contest as his side aim to make it three wins from three at the start of their Premier League title defence.

James Milner is also a major doubt, but Joe Gomez is expected to return after missing the win over Chelsea last weekend.
