ITV will reportedly not decide whether I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! will take place in Australia or Wales for another two months.

ITV will reportedly wait until the end of the summer before deciding where this year's edition of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! will be based.

Last year the show relocated from its usual home of the Australian jungle to Gwrych Castle in North Wales as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.

ITV has secured the services of Gwrych Castle again for this year's series should it be required, although recent reports have suggested that the Australian government would grant the broadcaster a special exception to film in the country if travel restrictions remain later this year.

According to The Mirror, however, no final decision has yet been taken and producers still have until "the end of the summer" to decide between Wales and Australia.

Last year ITV announced on August 27 that the show would be moving to Wales, giving the production crew around two-and-a-half months to prepare for the new setting.

Australia currently has its borders closed to almost all travellers and is not expected to open up again until early 2022 at the earliest.
