The upcoming third season of Ted Lasso is being written as the final season, according to writer and star Brett Goldstein.
The Apple TV+ comedy drama - about an American manager of a fictional Premier League team - has been a success with audiences and critics alike, winning four Emmy Awards, four Critics' Choice Awards and a Golden Globe.
Goldstein, who stars as Roy Kent and is also a key member of the writing team, has previously said that the show was envisaged as a three-season story and despite its acclaim, he has maintained that that is still the plan.
"We are writing it like that," he told The Sunday Times. "It was planned as three. Spoiler alert - everyone dies!"
The third season is currently being filmed ahead of a planned release towards the end of the year.
