Russell Kane has suggested that he will have a prostate exam live on television in an upcoming edition of Steph's Packed Lunch.
The comedian is a regular co-host on the Channel 4 lunchtime show, alongside main host Steph McGovern.
Last year McGovern broke ground by having a smear test live on the show to demonstrate how quick cervical screenings are, and now Kane is expecting to do similar with a check for prostate cancer.
Speaking on Boots' Taboo Talk podcast, he said: "Steph had a cervical smear live on TV and there's no doubt in my mind I've got a prostate exam coming my way when the new series starts.
"We will literally be bum in the air, facing the screen."
He added: "Yes, it's nice to get a laugh - but imagine if people start talking about that stuff more and someone goes for a test.
"If you talk about taboos properly, you can evoke thoughtfulness with humour. I'm so passionate about it, particularly with men."
Steph's Packed Lunch continues weekdays at 12.30pm on Channel 4.
