Sky decides to suspend production on Bulletproof and terminates its relationship with Noel Clarke following the allegations against him.

Sky has confirmed that it has suspended production on Bulletproof following the allegations against lead star Noel Clarke.

On Thursday The Guardian published a report detailing accounts from 20 women who variously accuse the actor of sexual harassment, bullying and other inappropriate behaviour on multiple productions.

The 45-year-old has strongly denied all of the claims made against him but nevertheless he has found himself suspended by BAFTA, while ITV has taken the decision not to broadcast the final episode of his event drama Viewpoint this evening.

Production of the fourth series of police drama Bulletproof - created by and starring Clarke - is believed to have been ongoing at the time the allegations surfaced but on Friday Sky confirmed an immediate halt to work on the show.

"Sky stands against all forms of sexual harassment and bullying and takes any allegations of this nature extremely seriously," said a spokesperson.

"Effective immediately, we have halted Noel Clarke's involvement in any future Sky productions."

Production company Vertigo Films added: "We are devastated to hear about these allegations and have launched an urgent investigation to find out if any apply to any Vertigo Films productions.

"Our immediate concern is for any cast or crew who may have had a negative experience on set.

"We have robust procedures in place for reporting incidents, including the ability to raise issues anonymously. And while no issues have been flagged to us, we stand ready to support anyone who has had a negative experience on the show and encourage you to come forward with confidence.

"Effective immediately, Noel Clarke is removed from any Vertigo Films production."

According to Deadline, Sky is now looking at the difficult possibility of proceeding with Bulletproof series four without Clarke involved.
