ITV orders a second six-part series of Professor T starring Ben Miller and Frances De La Tour.

ITV has confirmed that it has given the go-ahead to a second series of quirky crime drama Professor T.

The show, starring Ben Miller and Frances De La Tour, follows a university professor who assists the police in solving unusual crimes.

The first series brought in more than 5 million viewers for ITV over the summer and was also a hit in the US, where it airs on PBS.

"We're incredibly grateful to the ITV and PBS audiences for taking Professor T to their hearts, and we are actively plotting an even quirkier and uplifting season two," said Miller.

"Expect more baffling crimes, more breath-taking scenery, and some answers to the most intriguing mystery of all: what is it, exactly, in his childhood, that makes the Professor tick?"

The six-episode second series will be filmed in Cambridge and Belgium in Spring 2022.
