Sir Tony Blair / Channel 4
Channel 4 has commissioned a new “landmark” documentary series about Sir Tony Blair.
The three-parter – from the makers of The Rise and Fall of Boris Johnson – explores the life, leadership and legacy of the former Prime Minister, who was in No 10 from 1997 to 2007.
A synopsis for the show reads: “Featuring an in-depth interview with Tony Blair himself, his story is also told through those who knew him best – friends, allies, and opponents. Peeling back the layers of political spin and tabloid sensationalism, the programme offers a fresh perspective on the man who transformed the Labour Party and reshaped Britain.
“The series goes beyond the headlines to explore the key moments that shaped Blair’s leadership, providing a gripping insight into one of the most influential Prime Ministers of the modern era.”
Other factual commissions announced by C4 include a three-parter on the aristocratic Mitford sisters, a two-parter on the rise of AI and a documentary following TikToker Francis Bourgeois’s attempt to become an astronaut.
