Channel 4 has confirmed that it has given the go-ahead to a second series of edgy prison drama Screw.
The show, which aired earlier this year, follows the prison officers and inmates in C Wing at the men's prison Long Marsh.
Returning characters for the new run include Leigh Henry (Nina Sosanya), Rose Gill (Jamie-Lee O'Donnell), Ali Shah (Faraz Ayub), Gary Campbell (Stephen Wight), Don Carpenter (Ron Donachie) and Jackie Stokes (Laura Checkley).
Show creator Rob Williams said: "I'm absolutely delighted to get the opportunity to dig deeper into the complicated characters on C Wing - we have a lot more stories to tell - and to continue working with the incredible team at Channel 4."
"We're thrilled to welcome back the staff and prisoners of C Wing," added Caroline Hollick, head of drama at C4.
"Rob has created an iconic Channel 4 prison series with a fantastic cast and we can't wait to jump back into the drama, humanity and humour of life behind bars in series two."
The new series - to be filmed in the Kelvin Hall in Glasgow - is expected to air in early 2023.
