Channel 5's new three-part drama about Anne Boleyn gets off to a lacklustre start in the ratings.

Channel 5's new three-part drama about the demise of Henry VIII's second wife got off to a lacklustre start in the ratings last night, early figures show.

Anne Boleyn, which is being stripped from Tuesday to Thursday, opened with just 774,000 (5.2%) in the 9pm hour - down from the 2.19m (13.2%) managed by Our Yorkshire Vet in the same slot a week earlier.

Coronation Street was the most-watched show at 9pm, pulling in 3.97m (25.1%) over 30 minutes, while on BBC One, the final episode of The Pact interested just 2.3m (15.3%).

On Channel 4, meanwhile, one-off documentary The Anti-Vax Conspiracy informed 1.1m (7.8%) between 9pm and 10.30pm.

Earlier, The Masked Dancer failed to build on its slow start from over the weekend with an average of 2.65m (19.1%) tuning in between 7.30pm and 9pm to see Eddie The Eagle revealed as the dancing rubber chicken.
