The Office star to host The Masked Dancer

Craig Robinson is named as host of The Masked Dancer, a spinoff of The Masked Singer.

The Office and Hot Tub Time Machine star Craig Robinson has been named as the host of The Masked Dancer, a new spinoff of The Masked Singer.

The series will follow a similar format to its parent show, with a host of mystery celebrities concealed behind elaborate masks - although in The Masked Dancer, they will be showing off their dancing skills rather than their vocal talents.

The show will air on FOX in the US later this year with judges including The Masked Singer's Ken Jeong, singer and dancer Paula Abdul, singer Ashley Tisdale and actor Brian Austin Green.

"We've begun filming The Masked Singer with incredible new talent on both sides of the mask, and can't wait to share the series with viewers," said Rob Wade, president of alternative entertainment at FOX.

"Craig Robinson is hilarious as always in his role as host, and Ken, Brian, Ashley and Paula are the perfect blend of personalities to lead our awesomely weird world of masks into a whole new genre!"

The Masked Singer has now run for four seasons in the US, while in the UK, a second series is due to air in the New Year.
