Fired The Apprentice candidate Keir Shave reveals his desire to take part in the new series of Love Island.

The Apprentice star Keir Shave has confirmed that he is single and has expressed his desire to go on Love Island.

The 27-year-old - a telemarketing company owner from Leeds - was fired by Lord Sugar in last week's episode after delivering an unimpressive pitch to investors in a banking-themed task.

After filming the show, Shave returned to his business but has admitted to The Sun that he could be tempted in to taking a sabbatical this summer for a stint on ITV2 dating show Love Island.

"I would go on Love Island - 100%," said Shave, who stands at 6 feet 6 inches. "If anyone from Love Island reads this - get me on!

"The Apprentice was the first thing I've ever applied for on TV so before I hadn't really considered Love Island.

"Of course, I am concentrating on the business but yeah, don't get me wrong, if Love Island calls then I am in."

The Apprentice continues Thursdays at 9pm on BBC One.
