Strictly's HRVY gives update after contracting coronavirus

HRVY posts an update to social media following the news that he has coronavirus just weeks before his stint on Strictly Come Dancing begins.

HRVY has urged his followers to "wear a mask" after confirming that he has tested positive for coronavirus.

Following his diagnosis earlier this week the 21-year-old musician is now completing a 10-day period in isolation ahead of his stint on Strictly Come Dancing later this month.

Posting on Twitter, he wrote: "morning guys, just a little thought. im only 21 and in good health so it just shows that being young doesn't make you invincible, so make sure you wear a mask please, have a good day."

With several weeks to go until the series begins, HRVY will still be permitted to take part in Strictly, although any contestants who pick up COVID-19 once the show has started will be immediately disqualified.

Assuming his symptoms remain mild, HRVY is due to come out of quarantine just in time for the celebrity-professional pairings show, which is due to be recorded on Monday, October 12.
