Strictly Come Dancing, week five: Jamie Laing goes top of the leaderboard

Made In Chelsea star Jamie Laing gets an almost-perfect score to top the Strictly Come Dancing leaderboard.

Made In Chelsea star Jamie Laing has shot to the top of the Strictly Come Dancing leaderboard after getting an almost perfect score from the judges.

A strong week overall saw the seventh-placed couple, Caroline Quentin and Johannes Radebe, score an impressive 24 points, meaning that viewer votes will be crucial in determining who has to compete in the dance-off.

Clara Amfo topped the leaderboard last week but was cut adrift at the bottom this week, having scored just 18 points for her samba to KC and the Sunshine Band.

The leaderboard in full:

1. Jamie Laing and Karen Hauer: 29
2= Maisie Smith and Gorka Marquez: 27
2= Ranvir Singh and Giovanni Pernice: 27
4. HRVY and Janette Manrara: 26
5= Bill Bailey and Oti Mabuse: 25
5= JJ Chalmers and Amy Dowden: 25
7. Caroline Quentin and Johannes Radebe: 24
8. Clara Amfo and Aljaz Skorjanec: 18
