Clara Amfo would be "honoured" to compete on Strictly
Radio 1 DJ Clara Amfo responds to reports that she is in talks for the new series of Strictly Come Dancing.
Rumoured Strictly Come Dancing contestant Clara Amfo has admitted that she would love to be on the show.
The 36-year-old Radio 1 DJ is thought to be in talks about becoming part of the lineup for this year's series, which is due to begin in late October.
Asked about the rumours, Amfo told Metro: "It's an amazing show and I'd be honoured if they asked me, I'm just a fan of the show.
"I've got friends who've done it – Dev [Griffin] from Radio 1 did it and he was robbed. It's such an amazing show but I'm just a fan. I'm just a fangirl."
Other celebrities linked with this year's show include Made In Chelsea's Jamie Laing, Westlife singer Mark Feehily and presenter Melanie Sykes.
