Timothee Chalamet has reportedly become "close friends" with Justin Bieber after the pair met through their other halves.
Dune star Chalamet, 29, has become one of the biggest movie stars on the planet in recent years, while Bieber - now aged 31 - has been in the music industry since he was just 13.
Bieber's erratic behaviour on social media and at public events has raised eyebrows over the last few months, but the Daily Mail claims that his burgeoning relationship with Chalamet is serving as a calming influence on him.
The pair were introduced through Justin's wife Hailey Bieber and Chalamet's girlfriend Kylie Jenner, who are close friends, and they are said to regularly go for meals or coffee together in Los Angeles.
"Timothee knows what it is like to start working at a young age so Justin can relate to him," a source told the newspaper. "He is also really good at handling fame and gives advice to Justin."
They added: "He tells Justin to not take it all so seriously and just cut loose, be yourself. He is a great influence on Justin, a rock, because he is so stable whereas Justin is more emotional.
"Timothee also has that New Yorker sensibility where he just doesn't care, he does his thing and he doesn't give a crap what people say."
Bieber is currently believed to be working on his seventh studio album, while Chalamet's prolific pipeline includes a ping-pong movie about Marty Reisman, a third Dune film and a sequel to Wonka.
