Paul Chuckle claims that he saw the ghost of his late brother Barry Chuckle before heading out on stage at a pantomime.

Paul Chuckle has claimed that he was visited by the ghost of his late brother Barry Chuckle as he prepared to go on stage of a pantomime.

The pair entertained generations of children over the decades as the comedy double act The Chuckle Brothers and were known for their "to me, to you" catchphrase.

Barry sadly died of lung cancer at the age of 74 in 2018 but as per his brother's wishes, Paul has continued to work on in the entertainment industry as a solo act.

"I did pantomime somewhere that year on my own for the first time. I'd never been on stage on my own, ever - except for DJing," Paul told Richard Herring's RHLSTP podcast.

"I remember standing in the wings, waiting for my entrance and the music playing.

"Barry would be on the other side, where he would come on and he wasn't there. But I swear I could see him to the side of the stage, and he's nodding and winking at me.

"It gave me confidence to walk on stage and the audience lifted me beautifully. That was lovely. He was my brother, my work partner, my best mate... everything."
