Katie Price reportedly decides to buy a second guard dog following her alleged assault at home last month.

Katie Price has reportedly invested in a second guard dog following an alleged assault at her home last month.

The former glamour model was hospitalised in the early hours of August 23 for facial injuries after finding herself the victim of what she described as an "unprovoked" attack.

A man in his 30s was arrested and subsequently released on conditional bail - although reporting restrictions mean that he cannot be named.

Price has already had a security dog, Blade, for the last two years and now she is doubling up with a highly-trained dog called Okra.

"Katie has bought another black German Shepherd, the same breed as her existing security dog, Blade," a source told The Sun.

"He's being trained to a second elite level - making him even better trained than a police dog.

"Having both Blade and her new dog Okra around will help make Katie's home feel safer after it was burgled and she was assaulted."

Price has cancelled two public engagements since the alleged attack but is expected to return to work over the coming weeks.
