James Jordan returns to social media following the tragic death of his father last month.

James Jordan revealed that he is planning to shave off all of his hair for charity as he returned to social media following his father's death last month.

The former Strictly Come Dancing star lost his father Allan to brain cancer just a year after his initial diagnosis, leaving him heartbroken.

"I haven't been on social media for quite a long time now because my father unfortunately passed away on 13 March at 8.05am," he said in a video posted on Instagram and Twitter.

"I've been totally devastated. I did try and do this post before, but I wasn't able to because I was too upset."

He continued: "My dad had a stage four brain tumour - a glioblastoma. He was diagnosed approximately one year ago and myself and my family watched him slowly disappear.

"It's an absolutely horrendous horrendous disease. Cancer is awful no matter which cancer it is but brain tumour in particular takes away that person's identity a lot.

"Brain tumours are the biggest cancer killer in children and adults under 40. Out of £600 million raised in the UK, less than 3% goes to brain tumour funding for treatments.

"I want to change that because I don't want any of you guys to go through what I and my family went through."

Jordan added that he is planning to shave off his "horrendous" lockdown hair on April 13 in effort to raise money in his father's memory.
