Armie Hammer 'dropped by agency, personal publicist'

Armie Hammer is reportedly dropped by both his agency and his personal publicist following the abuse allegations against him.

Armie Hammer has reportedly been ditched by both his agency and his personal publicist amid the ongoing allegations about his private life.

The 34-year-old has been subject of a social media storm over the last month following the leak of unverified messages, purporting to be from the actor, which detail a series of cannibalistic and extreme sexual fetishes.

Hammer responded to the initial leak by describing the rumours as "bullshit" but since then more serious allegations have emerged, with one ex-girlfriend claiming that during one encounter he carved his initial into her pubic area.

The Call Me By Your Name star has since pulled out of his upcoming projects, including playing the male lead in a romcom opposite Jennifer Lopez and a key role in a miniseries about the making of The Godfather.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Hammer has now been dropped by WME, the Hollywood agency who have represented him for several years, while his personal publicist "has also stepped away".

Last week Hammer's lawyer stressed that the actor had not behaved improperly, saying in a statement: "The stories being perpetuated in the media are a misguided attempt to present a one-sided narrative with the goal of tarnishing Mr. Hammer's reputation, and communications from the individuals involved prove that."

Hammer has already filmed three projects that have yet to be released - Poirot film Death On The Nile, drugs movie Crisis and the comedy Next Goal Wins - while he is also attached to Cold War thriller Billion Dollar Spy, which is in pre-production, and the Call Me By Your Name sequel.
