Watch: Channel 4's new porn drama delayed until autumn

Channel 4 delays its new porn comedy-drama Adult Material to the autumn due to the coronavirus crisis.

Channel 4's new pornographic comedy-drama Adult Material has been delayed until the autumn due to the coronavirus lockdown.

The four-part series stars Hayley Squires as mother-of-three Jolene Dollar, who works as one of the UK's top porn performers, and is said to feature a lot of explicit scenes.

The show had been expected to air from this month in a 10pm slot but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, audiences for the BBC and ITV's news bulletins at that time have rocketed.

"Channel 4 are incredibly proud of this brave drama and see it as one of the jewels in the crown of its TV shows in 2020. So they want to give it the best chance possible of developing an audience," a source told The Sun.

"That's very difficult at 10pm, when people are preoccupied with getting the latest on that day's events.

"It's hoped that by waiting until the autumn, there's a chance that the crisis will have calmed down and people's viewing habits will return to normal."

Also appearing in the show are Rupert Everett, Skins star Joe Dempsie and After Life's Kerry Godliman.
