Matt Richardson self-isolates after showing coronavirus symptoms

TV presenter Matt Richardson goes into self-isolation after reporting symptoms of the deadly coronavirus disease.

TV presenter Matt Richardson has put himself into self-isolation over fears that he has coronavirus.

The 28-year-old took to Twitter to reveal that he has shown the main symptoms associated with the disease, which has claimed more than 17,000 lives worldwide to date.

"Hello kids. I think I might be down with "it". If so, I'm on the mild end," he wrote. "Throbbing sinuses, sore throat, no sense of smell or taste, and I had two days of a slightly raised temperature but that's gone. May well not be, but am in for two weeks regardless. Any advice welcome!

"I am staying at home for Minimum two weeks regardless. I feel absolutely fine in myself. I can understand why my generation wouldn't fear it if this is all they thought it was, but we all know this is the easiest it is. And it's deadly."

Richardson had been due to go on a stand-up tour around the UK in March and April but the dates have been postponed indefinitely due to the spread of the disease.
