Little Mix cancel UK tour amid coronavirus pandemic

Little Mix cancel their summer tour of the UK due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

Little Mix have confirmed that their summer tour of the UK has been cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The UK's lockdown is set to extend until at least May, and when measures are eventually lifted, mass gatherings such as pop concerts are likely to be off the agenda for many months to come.

The girl group had been due to start an 18-date tour of the UK in Falkirk on June 26 but have now confirmed its inevitable cancellation.

"We are so sad to announce that following the latest government advice, we have to cancel our upcoming UK Summer Tour," they wrote on Twitter.

"The health and safety of all our fans and crew is always our number one priority.

"Please look out for an email from your ticketing agent shortly. Please only contact them if you have not received an email by May 5th.

"Please stay safe and stay home, lots of love, the girls x."

The group recently released new single 'Break Up Song' as a teaser for their upcoming sixth studio album.
