Kiefer Sutherland has admitted that he would return to 24 for a one-off movie or full-blown series if the story was right.
The 53-year-old starred as all-action hero Jack Bauer on the twisty drama series between 2001 and 2014 across nine seasons and more than 200 episodes.
Sutherland did not reprise the character for the one-off 24: Legacy miniseries in 2017 - although he did serve as executive producer - but is open to bringing back Jack in the future.
"I've always left the door slightly ajar for 24 if someone comes up with a great idea," he told Forbes.
"I've been banging my head against a brick wall for a movie for so long that I've got a concussion.
"Honestly, the form more 24 would take doesn't matter to me as much as the quality of the story.
"If someone comes up with a great story that can be told in two hours, then we're going to make a movie, but if someone comes up with a great story that could be 24 hours, we'll do the show."
Bauer's last appearance came in the final episode of 24: Live Another Day and saw him surrender himself to the Russian government in order to secure the release of long-time colleague Chloe (Mary Lynn Rajskub).
