Five of the Spider-Man movies will join Disney+ in the UK and Ireland from this Friday.

Disney+ has confirmed that five Spider-Man movies will join the service in the UK and Ireland from this Friday.

Due to a complicated production and rights history, the films featuring the web-slinger have hitherto been unavailable on the streaming service, which features the Marvel franchise prominently.

As the rights start to become available, however, Disney is striving to bring them all to Disney+ and will start with five movies spanning the three recent eras this Friday.

From the Tobey Maguire era is Spider-Man and Spider-Man 2, both of Andrew Garfield's films, The Amazing Spider-Man and The Amazing Spider-Man 2, and the first Tom Holland film Spider-Man: Homecoming.

The additions will leave Spider-Man 3, Spider-Man: Far From Home and the recent epic Spider-Man: No Way Home as the outstanding titles still missing from Disney+.
