I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! may not be back on air as intended tonight, according to Ant and Dec.

Ant and Dec have admitted that they "don't know" if I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! will return to ITV tonight as planned.

The show, which is being staged at Gwrych Castle in Wales, was cancelled on Saturday and Sunday after Storm Arwen wreaked havoc on the set, damaging key broadcast equipment.

ITV had hoped that the series would resume live broadcasts tonight but hosts Ant and Dec admitted on an Instagram Live that the return is still uncertain.

"I've got an update," said Dec. "The site was quite badly damaged during the storm and they are in there working round the clock to try and get it back up and running and back up to speed so we can get back on air as quick as humanly possible.

"But we don't know when that's going to be just yet."

An ITV spokesperson said: "This is an on-going live situation and we're taking each day as it comes and working round the clock.

"Our priority is safely getting the whole site back up and running which means the show is back on air in the quickest time possible.

"We're currently not in a position to confirm when we'll be back on air but we'll absolutely keep you posted when we get more updates."

Producers are also said to be keeping an eye on Storm Barra, which is due to arrive at the end of the week and could bring with it temperatures as low as -5C.
