Gemma Bissix is to reportedly reprise her role as Clare Devine on Hollyoaks despite being killed off.

Gemma Bissix will reportedly reprise her role as Clare Devine on Hollyoaks despite seemingly being killed off 11 years ago.

The super-bitch, who first appeared in the village in 2005, apparently lost her life in 2013 when she was run down by Paul Browning (Joseph Thompson), the ex-husband of Mercedes (Jennifer Metcalfe), after a long-running feud.

Since then Clare's sister Grace Black (Tamara Wall) has moved to Hollyoaks and is ruling the roost with half-brother Rex (Jonny Labey), but according to The Sun, things will soon be shaken up again thanks to an unlikely sibling reunion in time for the soap's 30th birthday this October.

"Gemma's much anticipated return to Hollyoaks has been kept top secret and her character is set to stir up plenty of on-screen drama as the soap kicks into gear around its 30th birthday," a source told the newspaper.

"She is delighted to be asked back, especially as she's rising from the dead. The scenes will be explosive."

Production firm Lime Pictures declined to comment on the story.
