Chelsee Healey is reportedly in talks about taking a break from Hollyoaks in order to return to Waterloo Road.
The school-set drama is making a comeback to BBC One for a new series later this year, with Adam Thomas, Angela Griffin and Katie Griffiths already on board to reprise their roles.
According to The Sun, Healey, who has played Goldie McQueen in Hollyoaks since 2016, could become the latest star to board the cast of the revived show.
The actress cut her teeth playing troubled schoolgirl Janeece between 2006 and 2012 and is apparently excited at the chance to make a comeback.
"Chelsee rose to fame on Waterloo Road so it holds a huge place in her heart," a source told the newspaper.
"She's chatting to them about what she can do to be part of the reboot, but she won't be quitting Hollyoaks.
"She's a well-loved character so bosses are keen to give her the time off she needs so she can film the BBC show."
Filming on the new series is expected to get underway in Salford shortly.
