One Direction's Louis Tomlinson screens England Euro 2024 game for fans at Glastonbury
One Direction star Louis Tomlinson brings in a TV to Glastonbury to enable England fans to watch their round-of-16 Euro 2024 clash.

One Direction star Louis Tomlinson bought a TV in to Glastonbury over the weekend to enable England fans to watch Euro 2024.

The festival took the decision not to screen the tournament this year - despite England facing a crunch game against Slovakia on Sunday afternoon for a place in the quarter-finals.

The Three Lions looked set for a shock defeat but did eventually prevail in extra time, and several hundred Glasto-goers were able to enjoy the moment after Tomlinson set up a battery-powered TV in one of the campsites.

"It's [actually] the second screen I bought," he told The Sun afterwards.

"The first one cracked. I wasn't going to take credit if we lost in normal time. It was a bit touch and go. But it was great.

"You're not allowed to bring a generator in, it was a battery. It would have a been a different atmosphere if we didn't win."

England now take on Switzerland in Dusseldorf this Saturday for a place in the semi-finals.
