Meena's fate revealed on Emmerdale

Meena's fate revealed on Emmerdale
The outcome of Meena's latest reign of terror on Emmerdale is revealed.

Evil Meena (Paige Sandhu) looks finally set to be brought to justice after she was apprehended by police in tonight's episodes of Emmerdale.

Last night, Liam (Jonny McPherson) thought he had killed Meena after angrily pushing her over the same bridge where she had murdered his daughter Leanna last year.

Moments later the police arrived, however, and Meena was rushed to hospital for life-saving treatment.

Meanwhile, Meena's sister Manpreet (Rebecca Sarker) convinced Liam to tell the police that he was acting in self-defence - an account that she gave evidence to back up.

Doctors managed to save Meena's life but when she woke up, she was quick to pin the blame on Liam - and police hauled both him and Manpreet back in for questioning.

With Liam's word against Meena's, however, the police soon returned to hospital to inform Meena of her fate.

"I'm only lying here because Liam attacked me," she spat, "and now they're trying to cover it up."

"We're satisfied there's no further investigation to be made," DS Rogers replied. "You, on the other hand, have a lot of explaining to do."

Meena began calling for medical assistance, but DS Rogers was not fooled, telling her that the doctors had already decided she was well enough to be released into police custody.

Emmerdale continues Friday at 7pm on ITV.
